Far North Motorcycles is a small business set up to conduct general repairs and service for most types and makes of motorcycles. We are equiped for many jobs including tyre changing and wheel balancing. Due to the small size of the workshop we have limited room and so we operate a booking-in system so that you know exactly when to deliver your machine to us.
For the moment we have no capability to bring your bike in due to the high costs of insurance to cover transport, but we can provide an alternative local service that is very reasonable on costs.
Though we specialise in classic and historic bikes we also work on more modern machines and though we are happy to complete a service on your machine, we can also undertake full rebuilds, recommissioning and restoration.
What we can't provide is a comprehensive service on modern machines requiring computer access to their systems as we do not have the equipment.
We try our best to keep costs to a minimum to stay competitive and usually set given hours for particular jobs. That said, longer term projects such as rebuilds are charged very differently based on the level of work required.
Generally we charge parts at cost plus any delivery cost incurred. We also operate a policy of keeping the customer fully aware of the work we are undertaking and keep contact at all times.
